Darjeeling Heritage Morning Walk

Dekho Darjeeling conducted their first-ever morning heritage walk in the Himalayan town of Darjeeling with a broader objective of bringing locals and tourists together. This initiative was aimed at making participants experience the cultural and architectural heritage of Darjeeling like never before.

Objective of the Walk

Healthier Way to Explore Heritage

The Darjeeling heritage morning walk was planned and executed by our tour agency, Dekho Darjeeling. We aimed to give visitors a surreal experience of enjoying the ancient and local heritage of Darjeeling in a healthier manner before sunrise. The goal was to impart the legacy of Darjeeling, which makes it a popular hill station in India, while also spreading the message of maintaining good health.

Commencement and Route

The morning heritage walk commenced at 5:45 am on 6th April 2024 from Chowrasta. The route passed through some of the popular and iconic landmarks of Darjeeling, including:

Natural Beauty of Darjeeling

Besides the historical landmarks, the morning walk provided participants with the opportunity to witness the stellar natural beauty of Darjeeling during sunrise. The first rays of light illuminated the sleeping town and the adjoining hills with a ray of hope and optimism.

Regular Schedule

Following the successful inauguration of the Darjeeling heritage morning walk, Dekho Darjeeling has decided to offer this heritage morning walk regularly since 6th April 2024.
