1.   By Air: The nearest airport is Shimla Airport (approx. 250 km away), with connecting flights from major cities. From Shimla, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus towards Kinnaur.

2.   By Train: Kalka Railway Station (310 km) is the nearest railhead. From there, travel to Shimla by the toy train or taxi and continue to Kinnaur by road.

3.   By Road: Tashigang Rong Gompa is reachable from Reckong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur, located around 70 km away. The journey offers scenic views but includes narrow mountain roads, so hiring a local driver is recommended.

  • May to October: Ideal weather, as the region is clear and accessible. The temperatures are pleasant, ranging from 15°C to 25°C.
