The best time to visit is during spring, summer and autumn when clear sunshine makes the entire region more charming and enchanting. Monsoon season makes the place look more green but heavy rains can keep the place cut off from the rest of the state because of landslide.

How to reach

From Shimla you can hire a car and reach Rakchham via NH5, which passes through Narkanda, Rampur, and Karcham. The distance is approximately 230 kilometers and takes about 8-9 hours by car.
